Moment of Silence
Each
May 14th, WRAP calls for a national "Moment of Silence" to
encourage teens to reflect upon those lives that have been
so needlessly lost to impaired driving accidents. This day
represents the worst drunk driving crash in U.S. history.
In 1988, a drunk driver hit a school bus on its way back from
a church-sponsored outing at an amusement park in Lexington,
Ky. Twenty-seven people, the majority of whom were students,
were killed and 14 more were injured.
